In practice: in Riccione, you do everything on foot and breathe in the holiday atmosphere among peers from morning till night. In Rimini, you have more choice, but you have to move around a bit more. Towards sunset, in Riccione, the ritual is a stroll along Viale Ceccarini, among shops and aperitifs. In Rimini, the promenade does the same job, on a larger scale. Regarding prices, for us, Riccione and Rimini are on par: affiliated hotels start from 39 euros per night per person in both cities, based on a 7-night stay in the beachfront area with breakfast and medical-baggage insurance.
If you want the full breakdown, the ABK Card package plus 7 nights hotel costs 499 euros per person in July and 549 euros in August. July is therefore more convenient: same card, same evenings, 50 euros less.
